Music is very important in my life. I don't play any instruments, and I am completely tone deaf so singing is out of the question. Music is the one thing that has always been there for me. When I am sad, excited, angry, or scared, I have been able to find a song that remedies the emotion or amplifies it. I started out listening to a Walkman when I was really young. I was listening to Britney Spears or the Backstreet Boys. Then I got a boombox and I was still listening to the same artists. Then I got an iPod and my music taste really changed. I was into rap and hip hop and most of the music in my playlist was explicit. For my birthday this past March, I received a record player and a bunch of records that ranged from The Bangles to Van Halen. Now I go to record stores constantly and I'm finding newer-or older- music to listen to.
